Nixon: Separation and the City
Cynthia Nixon is solo in the city.
The Sex and the City star has split with her longtime companion, Danny Mozes.
Nixon's manager confirmed the breakup to E! on Tuesday, saying that the two uncoupled this summer, no third party was involved and everything was "very amicable."
The New York Daily News quotes a rep for the actress saying, "Cynthia and Danny were both growing apart."
News of the separation comes just months after Nixon gave birth to her second child with Mozes, a Gotham-based English professor and photographer. Charles Ezekial Mozes was born in December. Their first child, a daughter named Samantha, was born in 1996. It's presumed the exes will share custody of the kids.
Nixon and Mozes, both 37, had known each other since junior high and have been dating since their college days. Although they have been together for nearly 15 years, Nixon has repeatedly had said they wouldn't marry, because "I love him too much."
Nixon, a two-time Emmy nominee for her role as Sex and the City's sarcastic single-mom lawyer Miranda Hobbes, is currently wrapping the swan-song season of HBO's hit comedy. The final eight episodes will begin unspooling in January.
