Natasha Lyonne is officially off the hook.

The American Pie 2 star finally pleaded guilty Monday to drunk-driving charges stemming from her DUI bust in Miami Beach last year, when she lost control of her car, plowed into a sign and left the scene of an accident.

According to the Associated Press, the plea bargain, which had been in the works with Florida prosecutors for months, was delayed after Miami-Dade Judge Beth Bloom insisted Lyonne leave an original copy of her fingerprints with the court. The plea was supposed to be finalized late last week.

While Lyonne did not appear at the hearing, her attorney, David Rothman, sealed the deal by turning in her fingerprints and entering the plea on her behalf.

The agreement, first struck last June with prosecutors, officially guarantees that Lyonne won't end up serving time behind bars. Instead, the 23-year-old actress will be put on probation for six months, have her driver's license taken away from her for the same amount of time and be required to perform 50 hours of community service.

Additionally, she will have to put her celebrity status to good use, taking part in a victim's panel organized by Mother's Against Drunk Driving, and her car will also be impounded for 10 days. Aside from the $1,000 in fines and court fees, Lyonne will also have to pay to replace the sign she damaged when she crashed her rental car near the Fountainbleau Hotel in Miami Beach.

Lyonne, best known among the teen set for her feisty performances in Slums of Beverly Hills, both Pie films and Scary Movie 2, was arrested last August after driving well over the speed limit, missing a 90-degree turn, jumping the curb and crashing her rented Dodge into a sign and some shrubbery around 1:45 a.m., causing about $2,500 worth of damages.

Unbeknownst to her, a police officer witnessed the whole thing, including the New York native leaving the scene of the accident, and tracked her down. According to the police report, when the officer smelled alcohol on her breath, Lyonne later confessed to drinking and reportedly said, "I'm a movie star. Can I talk to my entertainment lawyer?"

Neither she nor her passenger, Saving Private Ryan actor Adam Goldberg, were hurt in the incident.

But Lyonne, a former Miami resident, was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident and careless driving. She was freed a few hours later on $2,000 bail.

After recently wrapping the film Die Mommie Die, opposite former Beverly Hills, 90210 alum Jason Priestley, Lyonne next stars opposite ex-beau Edward Furlong in Max and Grace, a cheerful little production in which the twosome will play a couple who meet and get married in a mental institution. Eventually they escape and set out to kill themselves on their honeymoon, only to find the will to live.
