The former Baywatch pinup pleaded guilty Friday to possessing less than 25 grams of cocaine and to driving while impaired after she was caught with cocaine in her pocketbook following a September car accident.
Under terms of the deal, the 33-year-old actress will serve two years of probation and will be subjected to random urinalysis drug testing. In exchange for the deal, prosecutors dropped one of her two felony coke possession charges.
Bleeth appeared before Judge Karen Fort Hood, admitting that "I was driving under the influence of narcotics. Cocaine, your honor," she said, according to wire reports.
Bleeth is expected to return to court January 9 for formal sentencing.
The actress, whose recent credits included Nash Bridges and the short-lived NBC soap Titans, was busted September 12 after she and 31-year-old companion Paul Cerrito were in a car accident while driving on Interstate 94 near Detroit. The pair were heading to the airport when her car pulled off the highway and wound up on a median.
No one was injured, but police later searched her purse and found four syringes containing a liquid form of cocaine and a small plastic bag with cocaine residue. Then, a day after her arrest, police obtained a search warrant for her hotel room and allegedly found more cocaine and narcotics paraphernalia.
Bleeth's lawyer, Jerry Sabbota, says the actress was "pleased" with the plea deal, noting that her record will be cleared of any felonies after she fulfills the terms of her probation.
"She wasn't treated any better than anyone else, and she wasn't treated any worse," he said.
Sabbota says Bleeth is now clean, and although she is not currently in rehab, she is undergoing psychotherapy from the founder of the Malibu-based Promises rehab facility, where Bleeth and stars such as Paula Poundstone, Ben Affleck, Charlie Sheen and Tim Allen have all sought treatment.
