Sean Penn's New York City Night

Sean Penn Paul Fenton/ZUMA Press

Sean and Robin Wright Penn may have reconciled, but that’s not stoppin’ Mr. Penn from keeping some late-night hours of the nonworking variety.

Penn was in NYC yesterday to attend a memorial service at Carnegie Hall for the late Norman Mailer. But later—way later—in the wee hours of Thursday morning, the Oscar winner and star of the just wrapped Milk was spotted at Bungalow 8.

He arrived at 1 a.m. and didn’t leave until 4 a.m.!

Also hangin' at Bungalow were Catherine Keener and model May Andersen and her beau, singer-slash-model Jamie Burke.

But I'm told Sean was on his best behavior and talkin' politics—not rubbing elbows with the glamorous folk. "He was with a group of friends,” one fellow clubgoer reports. "He was chatting about global issues."
