In the great Hollywood stork derby of 2000, John Travolta and Kelly Preston have outraced fellow power couple Annette Bening and Warren Beatty to the nursery.

Preston, 37, gave birth to a baby girl yesterday, the duo announced today in a statement.

And fortunately, unlike her big bro Jett, the newborn wasn't saddled with a plane-related moniker (think: Winger) to honor daddy's favorite hobby. No, the newest Travolta is named Ella Bleu.

"This is a wonderful day for our family," the Tinseltown twosome jointly proclaimed.

A pre-couple Preston and Travolta, 46, worked together in the 1989 bomb The Experts. The two wed in 1991. Jett was born a year later.

Preston, last seen in For Love of the Game, appears later this year with Billy Bob Thornton in the aptly named Daddy and Them. Travolta has the sci-fi thriller Battlefield Earth (based on a pulp book by novelist/Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard) due out in June, and a comedy called Numbers coming in the fall.

As for the Bening/Beatty baby, it is due, well, any second now.
