Gary Coleman's Different Stroke: Virginity
He's a 30-year-old virgin.
Yes, it really does take different strokes to move the world.
The kid star-turned-security guard tells the February edition of Us magazine, on stands next Friday, his sex life (or lack thereof) is the result of killer willpower.
"See, people don't understand that something has given me the willpower to say no to anything questionable, abhorrent, undermining, unethical and immoral," the Diff'rent Strokes alum says in Us.
"And that's why I'm still a virgin."
All righty, then.
Also in the article, Coleman says he has known since he was 12--an age where he was already a well-established TV Guide cover kid--that that he would never marry.
"I fear somebody would marry me just to get next to what they believe is a lot of money," says the actor who once wrangled in court with his adopted parents over his TV millions.
If you're uncomfortable with the intimate details of Coleman's life, the man himself, at least, sounds at peace. Mostly.
"You know the phrase, 'Once bitten, twice shy?' Well, I'm about eight times shy," he tells Us. "As far as I'm concerned, being single is the only way to go."
Coleman made headlines last summer when a bus driver accused the ex-kid star of punching her out after she made a crack about his ex-kid star status. A $1-plus million lawsuit, filed by the alleged victim, is pending.
The incident also led Coleman to become the third (of three) Diff'rent Strokes kid actors arraigned on criminal charges. He starred on the 1978-86 sitcom as "Whatchu talkin' bout"-spoutin' Arnold Jackson Drummond. Still in the biz despite forays into the security industry, he recently appeared as an elf in the made-for-cable movie Like Father, Like Santa.
