Remy Ma Sentencing Delayed

Remy Ma just got a little more time to plan that jailhouse wedding she's been talking about.

At the behest of the Grammy-nominated rapper's lawyer, a judge pushed back Ma's sentencing for shooting a woman outside an NYC nightclub, per a spokeswoman for the Manhattan District Attorney's Office.

Judge Rena Uviller agreed to the delay so attorney Ivan Fisher has more time to submit a brief arguing against the maximum penalty of 25 years in prison.

On March 27, a jury convicted Ma (real name Reminisce Smith) of four counts of assault, weapon possession and attempted coercion for shooting an acquaintance in the gut for allegedly swiping $3,000.

The MC was immediately remanded to Rikers Island, where, a week later, she announced she would tie the knot with fiancé and fellow rapper Papoose.

No word if Fisher is going to use the "jail will put a serious crimp in the honeymoon plans" argument to sway the judge.
