Steven Tyler Not Crazy About His Online Persona

Steven Tyler doesn’t want any other dude out there acting like him or his lady.

The Aerosmith frontman has filed suit against person or persons responsible for posting "disturbing and offensive content" in a series of blog posts on two different sites and passing them off as blogs written by Tyler and his girlfriend, Erin Brady. (View the lawsuit.)

The lawsuit states, "Through these blogs, Defendants published and continued to publish intimate details about Plaintiff's private life on the internet website www.blogspot.com," including tidbits about Tyler's mother, who recently passed away, and the rocker's relationships with his girlfriend and children, as well as "fabricated thoughts and commentary" supposedly contributed by Brady.

According to the complaint filed Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, one site, tylers849021.blogspot.com, had 31 entries marked with the name "STEVEN" and the other, shelikespurple.blogspot.com, had seven entries marked with the initials "E.B.," both of them appearing to be connected to the same account holder.

Google had taken down the blogger's sites at the singer's request in December 2007, per the suit, but they have since reappeared, "apparently defiant and intent on infringing" on Tyler's rights.

Tyler, who alleges unlawful public disclosure of private facts, false light and common law misappropriation of likeness, is asking for unspecified damages to make up for harm done "to his reputation, personal feelings and loss of publicity value."
