The next time he travels, Jerry Lewis will know which carry-on items he needs a permit for.

A Las Vegas judge has dismissed a gun charge against the original Nutty Professor  stemming from his July run-in with the police at McCarran International Airport when he tried to board a flight with an unloaded .22-caliber Beretta in his bag.

Justice Karen Bennett-Haron agreed to toss a charge of carrying a concealed weapon without a permit after all agreed not to fine the octogenarian entertainer for his infraction.

Lewis was cited July 25 on his way to Detroit. He was eventually allowed to get on the plane, but authorities confiscated the gun.

Afterward, the Jerry's Kids founder explained that the Beretta was actually a hand-engraved keepsake that a patron of the Muscular Distrophy Association presented to him last year during his annual telethon for the cause.

Lewis' attorney, Ross Goodman, called today's outcome "a good result for great guy."
