He might be feeling somewhat unsettled right now, but at least Redmond O'Neal has his groceries in the bag.

E! News spotted the 23-year-old son of Farrah Fawcett and Ryan O'Neal, who along with his dad was busted yesterday on suspicion of narcotics possession, Thursday afternoon walking home after stocking up chips and other sundries at a local market.

"I probably know as much as you guys do," Redmond said when asked for any further details about what went down at his dad's place Wednesday.

"It's just a major misunderstanding. Life goes on, you know," he added. "It's all I have for you, really...If I knew more, I'd tell you more."

Redmond's characterization of the incident coincides—somewhat—with what his dad's attorney had to say about the case today.

Having nothing to offer about his client's son's case, O'Neal's attorney said Thursday that the Love Story star, at least, is innocent of narcotics possession.

"I have full confidence that Ryan will be vindicated," L.A.-based lawyer Mark Werksman told People.

"Those were not Ryan's drugs, he doesn't use drugs, and has nothing to do with them," he said. "It's a dangerous assumption for deputies to have arrested Ryan just because he was in proximity to the drugs."

Some of which were found in the actor's bedroom, according to police.

Father and son were arrested at 8:02 a.m. Wednesday during a "routine probation search" of O'Neal's Malibu home after officers found Redmond to be in possession of a substance that appeared to be methamphetamine and then found a vial of the same drug (which still needs to be tested, per a sheriff's spokesman) in O'Neal's bedroom.

Redmond's mom, Farrah Fawcett, was also reportedly asleep in the house when the cops showed up.

The duo were released from custody a few hours later after posting $10,000 bail apiece. Neither O'Neal has been formally charged in connection with the investigation.
