Laila Ali a Knockout Mom

Laila Ali has motherhood down for the count.

The comely boxing champ and American Gladiators cohost has welcomed her first child with hubby Curtis Conway, son Curtis Muhammad Conway Jr.

Their new addition, whose middle name references his iconic grandpa, Muhammad Ali, arrived Aug. 26, according to a statement on Ali's website.

"He's a healthy baby boy who weighed 6.8 pounds and measured 19 inches long," the statement read. "Mama and baby are resting!"

Without going into further detail, the statement continued: "Although mom and baby are both healthy and happy, there were some surprises during labor that altered Laila's birth plan."

Ali—no stranger to the school of hard knocks—told UsMagazine.com in June that she was planning an all-natural delivery at home.

She and Conway tied the knot in July 2007, a few months after she finished third on the fourth season of Dancing With the Stars. Conway has twin sons and a daughter from a previous relationship.
