David Duchovny voluntarily checked himself into rehab for sex addiction last week, in case you've been hiding under a rock as big as Sarah Palin's updo. Who knew there was such a thing as being too sexed up?

Uh, we did. Not only was Mr. Double-Dee the star of one of our very own lascivious Blind Vices (can you guess which one?), which we may reveal shortly if you’re very good, Dave-poo plays hump maniac Hank Moody in Californication, an Emmy-nominated show he, coincidentally, helped create.

Makes us think back to a little talk we had with Dee in August at The X-Files: I Want to Believe premiere. We asked him which character he can relate to more: Hank or Mulder. D2 was quite anxious to change the question, blabbing, "I don't know. An actor just tries to figure out a role." Is that what's known in the dangerous biz of press poking as a horny-hemming? Yep.

And judging by Duchovny's recent nooky rehab hello, I think he figured out Hank a little too well. We were initially torn between taking this response as a lack of personality or some successful sexy pay dirt, but in light of the recent salacious sitch D.D.'s going through, maybe he was just peeved that our Q touched a little close to home. Get better Dave-doll, par-tick for wife Téa Leoni and your two tots—all of whom were absent during our chitchat, wonder why.
