That was fast. Although, at this point, not exactly surprising.

Two days after revealing that there was trouble in paradise, Chris Kattan filed for a legal separation from his wife of less than two months, model Sunshine Tutt, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason it all went to hell so fast, per documents filed Thursday in Los Angeles Superior Court.

A rep for Kattan couldn't immediately be reached for comment, but the funnyman's publicist told E! News Tuesday, "They are separated for the moment, but are working on it."

The paperwork heralding the more dire-sounding split cites Aug. 10 as the actual date of separation, and also states that the estranged couple signed a prenuptial agreement five days before they tied the knot. (View the petition.)

"We are in the process of resolving the matter amicably," a lawyer for Tutt told E! News Thursday.

Kattan and Tutt were engaged for 18 months before tying the knot June 28 in an eco-friendly ceremony in Yosemite Valley, Calif., in front of, among others, Will Ferrell, Charlie Sheen and wife Brooke Mueller, Eric Dane, Brooke Shields, Jimmy Fallon and Parker Posey.
