This crime scene investigation didn't turn out so well for good ol' Warrick.

E! News has learned that the ex-CSI regular Gary Dourdan has been charged with drug possession after detectives determined he had oxycodone, aka "hillbilly heroin," on him when he allegedly rammed into several parked cars last month.

The news was confirmed by the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office, which also charged him with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Following the June 13 smashup, police booked the 44-year-old actor for felony drug possession after finding a number of pills on him, which they thought was ecstasy. But later tests revealed it was the highly addictive pain killer, whose effects are similar to heroin.

Dourdan's no stranger to drug problems.

Shortly after his character was killed off of CSI in 2008, he was collared in Southern California after police found him asleep behind the wheel of his car and in possession of heroin, ecstasy and cocaine. He subsequently evaded a prison term after completing a drug-diversion program.

His new misdemeanor drug charges each carry six months each in the slammer, meaning Dourdan could face up to a year in jail if convicted. An arraignment is set for later today.
