Former Simple Life star Nicole Richie will be back on the boob tube this fall—but she won't be pulling shenanigans with her ex-BFF Paris Hilton.
The Winter Kate designer will star alongside previously announced talent Jessica Simpson and Elle Macpherson—plus newly announced talent, designer John Varvatos—in NBC's new reality competition show Fashion Star.
So what kind of judge will Nic be: mean or nice?
Well, neither, actually.
The 29-year-old mama of two will serve as mentor to the 14 contestants, who are vying for the grand prize of multimillion-dollar contracts with three major American retailers.
"NBC could not have asked for better additions to the celebrity mentors than John Varvatos, one of the most well-known menswear designers in the nation, and international style icon and creative director Nicole Richie," said NBC exec Paul Telegdy. "Both are trendsetters and tastemakers and their design skills and expertise will be invaluable to our contestants on the series."
