Wow, this new trailer for Moneyball, based on a true story and Michael Lewis' bestseller, is serious business.
Brad Pitt stars as Billy Beane, general manager for the super broke Oakland A's, who's trying to put together a winning baseball team on a budget. It's no laughing matter, so then why is well known funnyguy Jonah Hill giving him a hand?
Hill's taking on the role of Peter Brand, a young guy who's convinced he can rework the tried and true athlete scouting system and help his boss build a championship team super cheap.
Pitt and Hill make a surprisingly engaging pair, and to prove how stressful their job really is, we see plenty of chairs being thrown around and shots of Pitt alone in a stadium...pondering.
But who doesn't love an underdog story? And can a pair like Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill really be kept down? What do you think?
Moneyball slides into theaters (sorry!) Sept. 23.
