Maybe now our collective eyeballs can all get a rest from the many, many LeAnn Rimes bikini pics we've been hit with lately.
The fully clothed singer and her new hubby Eddie Cibrian touched down yesterday at LAX, returning from their Mexican honeymoon in Cabo San Lucas, where an extremely skinny Rimes sported two-piece after two-piece for the cameras, then started a Twitter war with one concerned follower who felt the singer was looking pretty emaciated.
Here's the play-by-play...
The newlywed songbird (who recently claimed she was "so over" all this weight talk) first tweeted lots of great things about the honeymoon, proclaiming that she loved wearing her bikini and that the trip with Cibrian was "magical." But things soon turned ugly when fans began commenting on her body, with one writing that Rimes appeared to have protruding bones as she posed on the beach in a tiny two-piece.
Rimes snapped back at the fan twice, irked at being called super skinny and instead labeling herself "healthy."
"thx but this is my body and I can promise you I'm a healthy girl. I'm just lean. Thx for your concern but no need to be," she wrote.
She had tweeted at the same fan earlier: "those are called abs not bones love."
The fan, now more of a hater, got upset about the singer's condesending remark, and let it rip: "I will freely admit to being envious of some stars but jealous of an anorexic adulterer I am not."
That's got to sting.
Of course, Rimes has lately faced much criticism over her shrinking frame, with the singer tweeting at another follower in early April that she doesn't starve herself.
"dear lord! I do not workout too much nor do I starve myself. I'm so over this and moving on," she ranted.
The honeymoon, taking place a month after they tied the knot at a private home in Los Angeles, wasn't all sun and fun for Rimes, who also returned home with her foot wrapped after a spill outside her hotel.
"WOW my head and my heel are killing from slipping on a rock at the beach," she wrote. "OUCH....needs to get better FAST."
