Snooki Crashes Into Police Car While Filming Jersey Shore in Italy

Reality star was with another cast member and crew in Italy, but no one appeared to be seriously injured

Well, at least nobody had to call the police, right?

Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, along with reality TV pal Deena Nicole Cortese, were involved in a fender-bender while filming the fourth season of Jersey Shore in Florence, E! News has confirmed. The good news is that there didn't appear to be any major injuries after the wreck.

Not so good? The accident involved an Italian police car...

And not just any police car: the vehicle was a safety escort for the reality show stars.

So what happened? Snooki was reportedly driving a vehicle that included Deena and a member of the show's production team when the car crashed into the back of a traffic patrol car, trapping it between the police car and the highway wall. Snooki was not arrested; she and Deena were taken for to the central police station of Florence to fill out paperwork. The officers were treated for whiplash and minor cuts and bruises.

"Two Jersey Shore cast members were involved in a minor traffic accident," a spokesperson for MTV told E! News. "No alcohol was involved and no one was arrested."

Authorities tell People that both Deena and Snooki refused treatment. Possibly because they were already late for a gym appointment, a tanning appointment or a laundry appointment. Or maybe a combination of all three.

Somehow we expect we'll be seeing more once the fourth season of Jersey Shore premieres on MTV.
