Chelsea Handler's pretty happy she doesn't have a 20-year-old kid right now. Because it was a possibility.

Our hysterical E! pal is opening up in a brutally honest New York Times interview about the decision she made to have an abortion at 16 instead of having the baby—and she also has some choice words for the girls on a certain MTV franchise.

After admitting she waitressed until she was 26 and and her fears that she would never make it in Hollywood, Handler goes on the offensive against several reality shows.

"People are too P.C." she says. "We need to be focusing on other things. We're seeking such grossness in human behavior and want such mindless entertainment. The Real Housewives of Atlanta and some of these other shows are more racist. Or 16 and Pregnant. Getting rewarded for being pregnant when you're a teenager? Are you serious? I mean that makes me want to kill somebody."

Handler, currently dating hotelier Andre Balazs, opens up about her own decision to have an abortion while in high school.

"I had an abortion when I was 16," she says. "Because that's what I should have done. Otherwise I would now have a 20-year-old kid. Anyway, those are things that people shouldn't be dishonest about it."

The Chelsea Lately host also discusses ideas for a future show that has "never been done before" and would be more journalistic than her current gig.

"I'll do whatever I want to do," she says. "I'm not discouraged at all anymore."
