Just a couple of weeks after the body of B-movie actress and Playboy pinup Yvette Vickers was found mummified in her home, the L.A. coroner has released her cause of death: heart failure.

Although the scene where she passed may have looked suspicious, Vickers died from natural causes due to heart disease and hardening of the arteries (arterial sclerotic cardiovascular disease), a Los Angeles County coroner's department investigator told the Los Angeles Times.

While the coroner's department didn't determine when she passed away, police said it appeared her dead body had been in the home for nearly a year.

Vickers' body was discovered when a neighbor entered her home to check on her, after seeing cobwebs and old letters in her mailbox.
