Rough week for Heather Mills. First, there was her ex-husband Paul McCartney's engagement to Nancy Shevell.

Now she's in a hospital after having to be airlifted from a mountain following a skiing wipeout.

How's she doing?

According to the U.K.'s Daily Mail, Mills was recovering last night at her home in Brighton, England, after Wednesday's crash landing on the slopes of Austria, where she was preparing for the Paralympic Games.

Mills slammed into a plastic frozen pole, breaking her right shoulder blade. A spokesman for the hospital where Mills was patched up told Austrian paper Kleine Zeitung that McCartney's feisty ex did not require surgery.

The 43-year-old Dancing With the Stars alum, who lost her leg after being hit by a police motorcycle in 1993, had been training after being offered a tryout with the British Disabled Ski Team's development squad for the 2014 Paralympic Winter Games to be held in Sochi, Russia.

Mills, who's been skiing since she was 21, has been ordered to keep her whole arm immobilized and avoid the slopes for the next eight weeks.

But we're sure the ex-model will get right back on the mountain the second she's cleared.
