Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 has gone the Freddy vs. Jason route.
What we've got here is the first official poster for the final installment of the eight-film franchise, in theaters July 15, and you get the picture immediately: All that came before will culminate in a duel-to-the-death between the Boy Who Lived and He Who Shall Not Be Named.
But even though J.K. Rowling's last book about Harry's wizarding world ups the body count significantly and contains more teen angst than could have been imaginable when we first met Harry in a cupboard under the Dursleys' stairs...
A blood-spattered Daniel Radcliffe (who, how the years fly by, is sporting 5 o'clock shadow) staring down Ralph Fienne's nasal-challenged Lord Voldemort and his creepy thumbnail makes for one disturbing poster.
PG-13, indeed.
