Ellen DeGeneres will not be made a fool of. So where other talk show hosts may allow you to artfully dodge and otherwise dance your way around their questions prying into your love life, Ellen will have none of it.

Which was unfortunate news for Selena Gomez.

You see, back in September, the Disney grad appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres Show and, when pressed about her fledgling relationship with Justin Bieber, told the world, "He's little. He's like my little brother."

Uh, consider that taboo broken.

"Don't take me to jail," Gomez laughed after being reminded of her earlier comments. "Great thing to say, huh?"

"He's like your little brother?" Ellen pressed, picking up the conversation right where it left off six months ago, despite Gomez's giggly protests. "What do you have to say now?

"You were trying to hide it still, right?  But now you've made it public. Now, you went to the Vanity Fair party and made me a fool."

"No, I really didn't," Gomez laughed. "I promise you I didn't. He's just sweet…I didn't lie to you. I didn't though. I'll say that."

But as much as Gomez refused to give definitive answers about the state of her relationship, DeGeneres pressed her for more information.

"He's as sweet as can be. But he's not like your little brother, is he? No, he's not…You can't try to hide that forever," Ellen explained, carrying on the conversation all on her own.

"I know you all were sneaking around but that's crazy. You're both huge stars and you can't hide from us…A little brother is not someone you want to date.

"Well, no," Selena finally relented. "That would be weird."

Almost as weird as Gomez actually giving us some solid details about her love life. OK, fine, weirder.
