From the outside, Kate Walsh seems to live a pretty charmed life.

She's got a hit show, a new perfume, a pristine Hollywood reputation and she didn't exactly lose the genetic lottery.

So why does she think she's such a loser?

"I thought I'd be married and have three or four kids," the 43-year-old Private Practice star explained to More magazine. "I always knew I wanted to be an actress, but I think I always wanted a quote-unquote normal life because I had a very traditional upbringing.

"I feel like a loser. I would definitely love to be a parent. But I definitely don't think I want to do it on my own. Things are just going to go the way they go."

And the way they went the last time she thought she found Mr. Right didn't exactly result in the fairytale ending she was after.

"Oh my God. The worst thing ever," she said of her headline-grabbing divorce from her husband of just over a year, 20th Century Fox exec Alex Young. "It was so public, and yet it was so legal-embroiled. You couldn't talk about anything. And I still can't really."

Still, she may not have expected to be flying solo at this point in her life, but Kate is nevertheless perfectly content to do so.

"I have a great life," she said. "It's pretty glorious."
