He didn't scream for his ice cream—he sang for it.

Jimmy Fallon last night introduced a new flavor of Ben & Jerry's ice cream based on his show, Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, and inspired by a singing sketch he did based on the company's offbeat flavor names.

Um, so what exactly does Fallon taste like?

His flavor, called "Late Night Snack," is a vanilla bean ice cream with a salty caramel swirl and crunchy fudge-covered potato chip clusters. And it was harder to make than it sounds.

"It was like science, we went back to different ideas," he told the studio audience. They finally figured they could crush kettle chips into balls and then cover them with protective fudge so they wouldn't get soft. Genius.

"We came up with the perfect combo of salty and sweet," said Fallon, whose face is featured in the carton.

The company's lovable cofounders, Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield, were on hand Wednesday to debut the ice cream with the comic at 30 Rock in New York as Fallon marked the two-year anniversary of his show.

The ice cream kings had contacted Fallon after seeing the sketch that Fallon and his house band, The Roots, where they sang a funny ode to the Vermont-based company called "Ladysmith Snack Mambazo."

Fallon also praised the company's commitment to Fair Trade, which supports fair wages and a safe work environment for farmers in third world countries. Proceeds from the ice cream will go to Fair Trade-certified universities and to promote the use of Fair Trade products.

So you can feel good while putting away a pint.

Watch out, Stephen Colbert, you have some competition in the freezer section.
