But if a book gets thrown at Sheen in the process, so be it.
In obtaining a restraining order against her soon-to-be ex-husband earlier today, Mueller also asked a judge to order Sheen to return their twin sons to her care in light of his recent "winning" behavior.
And apparently the judge agreed, E! News has learned.
Their almost 2-year-old sons, Bob and Max, are now with Mueller, her mother, Moira Fiore, exclusively confirmed to E! Tuesday evening.
The twins had been staying at Sheen's Mulholland Estates home since before Sheen's quick jaunt to the Bahamas last week and CBS' decision to pull the plug on the remaining season of Two and a Half Men.
"I was more surprised," Fiore told E! News when asked about Sheen's latest series of outbursts. "Everything in the past two days really surprised all of us, its just not like him. So yes, we're very upset, but that's life."
Sheen tweeted tonight, "My sons are fine... My path is now clear... Defeat is not an option..!"
Maybe it's some kind of code...
The third ex-Mrs. Sheen obtained a restraining order against the garrulous actor today, reportedly after she tried to obtain the police's help in getting their twin sons out of Sheen's care despite it being his court-ordered visiting day.
Let's just say, Sheen wasn't crushed by the news...
"Great! I was already planning on staying 100 parsecs away from her," Sheen told TMZ, throwing in an astronomical measurement heard in Star Wars for good measure. TMZ first reported the restraining order development, which comes a day after Sheen went on a media tear in his bid to "get the truth out" about what really happened between him and his Two and a Half Men bosses.
Mueller's complaint alleges that Sheen made "specific, descriptive threats" aimed at her, hence her bid to keep him 100 yards away.
Meanwhile, despite wanting to buy a house for Mueller and the kids so that they can live close by (at least he did before their blow-up in the Bahamas), Sheen is said to be considering his own bid to get sole custody of their twins, blaming Mueller's erratic behavior and struggles with substance abuse.
Ah, the ole pot-calling-the-kettle-black theory. Interesting...
While talking to ABC, NBC, CNN and E! yesterday, Sheen mentioned that the twins were doing just great staying at his house with him and the "goddesses."
Though their marriage won't be entirely in the history books until May, he and Mueller hammered out a divorce deal in early February that has him paying her $55,000 a month in support, the same amount Denise Richards gets.
"Brooke does have the children now," Fiore says. "I'm sure if he's going to go for full custody then she will, too."
