FlynetCongratulations of sorts are in order for Teen Mom trainwrecks Amber Portwood and Gary Shirley, who have proven definitively that while stars really can be like us, it's not so easy to pull off the other way around.
But that didn't stop the D-list reality duo from trying their hardest to join the A-list by getting all dolled up and strolling a pre-Oscars red carpet. Problem was, they did it not in front of the Kodak Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard, but at a movie theater in Hamilton, Ind.
Even Kathy Griffin would think twice about accepting that invite. Though, in fairness, they did pull one bona fide star move…
They remembered the little people.
"They posed for pictures with fans and talked to people as they walked the red carpet," John Corbin, the director of sales at Cambria Suites, the Noblesville hotel where the event took place, told E! News.
Sure enough, the duo spent the day preparing by hitting up Kay Jewelers, the Burlington Coat Factory and finally to the hotel, with the couple posing for photos with employees and fans all day long.
During the event, the duo even exhibited their excellent taste in television by tuning into E!'s Live From the Red Carpet coverage before stepping into a limo and being driven, um, across the street for the red carpet event.
OK, fine, that's pretty A-list behavior, too. Well played, you two.
