Rose McGowan is scared. And we're talking about a woman who went out with Marilyn Manson.

The Grindhouse star obtained a temporary restraining order today against a Connecticut man who recently warned her that "she will be gone" if she didn't start returning his emails, according to documents filed in L.A. Superior Court.

It's times like these you wish you had a real machine gun sticking out of your leg...

McGowan claims that 36-year-old Louis S. Santo III, whom she's never met, has been "bombarding" members of her staff and her agent with phone calls, insisting he is in love with her and "threatening violence" if they don't put him in touch with the actress.

"His constant calling and threats have severely unnerved me and members of my staff as well as my family," she states in her bid to keep Santo 1,000 yards away from her, her family and a handful of colleagues. McGowan also demanded that the court order Santo reimburse her for $2,500 in legal fees.

A court hearing on the matter is scheduled for March 11.
