Hollywood has been making football movies since the first talkies, but they've rarely given fans a reason to cheer. Whether pigskin-themed teen romps (Johnny Be Good), action flicks (Last Boy Scout), tearjerkers (Radio) or Adam Sandler in a helmet under any title, most football movies just aren't any good.

Still, it is Super Bowl weekend, so we've found a few bright spots in the rocky love affair between football and Hollywood. Here are 10 movies that that don't suck, including a couple that, as they say on the sidelines, might-could play a little ball.
