It looks like that nursery is going to be a lot more colorful now.

While we already knew that parents-to-be Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are expecting twins this spring, the big question that remained was, what exactly are they having?

Well, luckily for us, the singer's hubby just happened to swing by the E! News studio this afternoon and cleared up a certain story going around...

Namely, the one reported by Life & Style that the couple is having one of each—a boy and a girl—with Mariah herself quoted in the magazine saying:

"Even before we announced it was twins, I was trying to keep everything genderneutral because I didn't want to impose an identity on them too soon...There were fan contests on Twitter about what gender they are and rumors about them being two boys or two girls—but nobody guessed this!"

"If my wife says it's true, then it is," Cannon told us, adding that when it comes to making such joyful announcements, he leaves them all to the missus.

Mimi's man does, however, take it upon himself to reveal that his wife has had a lot of cravings lately and winds up cooking such sweet treats as pecan pie, causing Cannon to pack on a few extra pounds of his own.

Son and daughter are due to arrive between late April and early May.
