When Michael Douglas walked the Golden Globes red carpet tonight, it wasn't just another awards show.

Douglas, who was diagnosed with throat cancer last year, had some news about his prognosis for the future. While talking with E!'s Ryan Seacrest, the star revealed he pretty much has cancer beat:

"Tumor's gone, and this type of cancer doesn't usually come back. I gotta check in every month. I'm so happy to be out. This is our first time out in months and months, and to be able to come to this thing cancer-free is pretty special," he said.

With wife Catherine Zeta-Jones at his side, Douglas was in high spirits as he joked with Seacrest about how the host's work ethic kept him going.

"I'm following you, Ryan. Anyone who works as hard as you are...You're my inspiration."
