With just two weeks to go, you think Lindsay Lohan could make it through rehab without a misstep.

But this is Lindsay Lohan we're talking about.

The trainwreck-prone starlet could be in some deep doo-doo now that police are investigating whether she attacked at staffer at her treatment facility.

Oops.

MORE: We know who isn't stalking Lindsay...

According to the Palm Desert Police Department, Lohan has been accused of attacking the staffer after she asked the star to submit to a drug and alcohol test.

"The incident involved Lindsay Lohan and another female adult who was a staff member at the location," says a police spokesman. "Lohan was reported as the suspect in the investigation and the victim desired prosecution."

There was no immediate comment from Lohan attorney Shawn Chapman Holley, but a statement was expected shortly.

Officers responded to Lohan's residence, a sober house affiliated with Betty Ford, on Dec. 12 at 1:03 a.m.

"The incident is being investigation as a misdemeanor, not committed in the presence of a peace officer; therefore no one was arrested at the scene," says the spokesman. "The investigation is currently ongoing. Upon completion of the investigation reports will be forwarded to the district attorney's office to determine if charges will be filed in the case."

One person likely to be studying the report is Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Elden S. Fox. He had previously threatened to send Lohan back to jail for up to six months if she screwed up while on probation.

As of now, Lohan is due to get out of rehab on Jan. 3 and due in court for a previously scheduled progress review on Feb. 25.
