Yeah, like LeAnn Rimes singing a song about crazy women, ex-wives, old girlfriends and cheating partners wasn't going to stir up a little controversy.

The words "too soon" come to mind.

Of course, it was a much different set of words that came to the mind of Brandi Glanville, Eddie Cibrian's jilted ex.

So much for that peace pact, huh?

"Crazy Women" was released by LeAnn this week and it didn't take long before rumors began circling that the tune was written with Brandi in mind. Particularly thanks to lyrics like these:

Listen to the song

"Crazy women are made by crazy men/ He cheats and lies, then plays the victim/ He don't know why they always pick them/ Crazy women, ex-wives and old girlfriends/ Keep their crazy hidden/ Till they're pushed off the deep end."

Honestly, it sounds like Cibrian would have as big a bone to pick with Rimes as Glanville does, but his former missus was the first to air her grievances.

"When your cheating is the cause of a 'crazy woman's' behavior, it's in poor taste to sing about it," Glanville told E! News.

As for Rimes, she has yet to directly address Glanville's concerns (if she's even aware of them yet, that is), but didn't seem to foresee any problems when she first released the song.

"It's such a fun song to sing along and laugh with," she said of the single. "After completing this album of songs by some of the most infamous men in country music to drive women crazy in love, I thought this song was a perfect addition to the album!"
