Here's something that's got us whistlin' a happy tune.

Glee guy Chris Colfer is ready to make his feature film debut, his rep confirms to E! News.

Here's the lowdown...

Colfer will star in the coming-of-age comedy Struck by Lightning, which was written by the 20-year-old Emmy-nominated actor himself.

The plan is to roll cameras sometime next summer while Glee is on hiatus, but there's no word yet on when the film would actually hit theaters.

In the meantime, it looks like we'll just have to bide our time focusing on more immediate Colfer-related stuff.
