Charlie Sheen better get ready for a new date—and this one doesn't dabble in adult films.
The Two and a Half Men star is going to be grilled by a New York police detective or two now that his porno-making Plaza pal Capri Anderson has gone to the cops with her tale of alleged Sheen misdeeds, the NYPD confirms to E! News.
Also due to make a guest appearance in this drama: Denise Richards, who was with the dynamic duo earlier that ill-fated evening.
On Monday, Anderson met with the NYPD and claimed she was harassed by Sheen on the night of Oct. 26.
"She filed a complaint report. Now we're going to interview Mr. Sheen and Ms. Richards," an NYPD spokesman told E! News.
And, the police spokesman said, the interviews will take place in New York—the former lovebirds can't phone it in.
There was no immediate comment from Sheen's rep, but he did file a lawsuit in L.A. on Monday alleging Anderson was trying to extort money from him. (Anderson has yet to file her promised lawsuit against Sheen.)
Meanwhile a source close to the situation tells us that Richards plans on cooperating with the authorities and that her interview should take place in the next week or two.
Richards and Sheen were spending time in New York with their two daughters the week of the incident, and she and the girls were staying in a room across the hall from Sheen's ground zero
So far, the cops just want to talk to Sheen and Richards. Neither the Sheen children nor the more recent ex-Mrs. Charlie, Brooke Mueller, is slated to be interviewed yet.
What exactly was discussed between Anderson on the police?
"She decided a month later the crime that was completed was harassment," the NYPD spokesman said. "Harrassment varies. She said he was shouting at her, knocking things off in the hotel room, acting irrational. She voluntarily locked herself in the bathroom and was not held against her will. She was not a victim of assault. She was not imprisoned in the hotel room."
As for why the police didn't initially investigate the alleged crime a month ago, the NYPD says "Initially, when we responded, she didn't file a police report. She never said she felt in danger. Mr. Sheen voluntarily went to the hospital were he underwent a psychiatric evaluation, as an 'aided case'—someone needing medical attention."
The NYPD wouldn't comment on what exactly Sheen shouted,or whether he exchanged any texts between Anderson and Sheen regarding $20,000, as has been reported.
Oh, and Charlie's expensive watch? No complaint has been filed with NYPD about the supposedly missing timepiece.
