Charlie Sorry for Dropping an N-Bomb on Denise

Charlie Sheen is sorry for slurring his speech. For the most part.

Although the N-bomb, multiple F-words and one of the nastier misogynist terms Sheen used in two voicemails left for Denise Richards in April 2005 were fully documented as part of their divorce proceedings, recently revealed audio recordings of the messages prompted the sitcom star to apologize for blowing his top in such a vile manner.

"I deeply apologize by my choice of words to all I have obviously offended, especially to Tony Todd, an African American, who was my best man at my first two weddings," Sheen said in a statement released Wednesday by his publicist.

"And for the record, my children did not show up today for a custodial visit without explanation. So three and one-half years later, the reasons that caused the anger and frustration displayed on that voice mail continue to be manifested on a daily basis."

Richards' camp told E! News they had no comment on the dustup.

Which was really quite dusty in its day. A few snippets of Sheen's verbal vitriol:

From a message received at 12:46 p.m. on April 19, 2005: "I guess I should just get used to the fact that you know, you fire off your nonsense and you're lawyer bulls--t and your f--king emails and then you don't answer the phone, and you know, you don't have the f--king courage or the wherewithal to like confront me or deal with me or just be f--king honest..."

Then on April 19, 2005, at 1:00 p.m.: "Yeah, I just got your other email and I am a little confused because you told me that was something you only told a couple of people, and this and that, and I just, again you continue to be deceitful and mischievous and sneaky, and you're a f--king liar."

Sheen and Richards briefly reconciled toward the end of 2005, but we know how well that went. The Two and a Half Men star is now remarried to third wife Brooke Mueller and has tumultuous visitation rights with his and Richards' two daughters, Sam and Lola.
