Dear Joan:
I'm from Costa Rica and I'm 18. I really love wearing high heels and makeup, but I've heard that at my age we shouldn't dress like that in order to have a very fresh look. What do you think should I do? Of course, I wear young and fashionable clothes, but I can't help liking makeup like Kim Kardashian's. Thanks so much, love you!
—Geannina

Dear Costa Rican Kardashian:

Love you, too! Go ahead and have fun with your makeup. We're women, it's what we love to do. As long as you're not wearing it to look older. You're young, you're gorgeous, who wants to cover that up?!

Dear Joan:
What is a great outfit for a man on a Friday night? Thanks.
—Jack Siebert

Dear Dapper Don:
Well, if you're coming over I'd say don't wear much. But otherwise go with an extension of casual Fridays…jeans, a nice T-shirt or button-down and a sports jacket.

Dear Joan:
Does polyester fabric go loose or fitted? I ordered a top on the Internet and it looked fitted. I ordered it in my size and when I received it, it was really loose. Should I have it tailored or wear it like that? The top has an animal print and ruffles in the bust area.
—Kass.Kouture

Dear Tiger Lily:
I'm hearing animal print and that means tight. Granted, polyester can come in every shape and size, but I think this one was meant to be fitted.

Dear Joan:
I have a big date coming up and this boy I met is very fancy. He lives in a mansion and his parents are very rich. So what should I wear? I'm very nervous abut this...help!
—Blerta.Star

Dear Belle of the Ball:
Be classy—a pencil skirt or a belted dress—but be yourself. If Richie Rich really likes you, he won't care what his parents think. And remember, he's the one you want to impress. Good luck!

Dear Joan:
I'm 33 years old and a single mom. Some curves. So what can I wear for a dinner or lunch with friends?
—Ofeceavi

Dear Yummy Mummy:
It depends on the age of the child. If we're dealing with a baby, then you need something dark to hide the spit-up stains. Otherwise have a little grown-up fun with something like a sequined sweater or studded top. And remember, your friends will love you in whatever you wear.

Dear Joan:
I must say that your show is hilarious. I also love to see your Fashion Police comments online. Please give me style tips on how to wear a strapless jean gown, e.g. the accessories to use.
—Muna

Dear Denim Darling:
And I must say you sound absolutely lovely, thank you! Denim's a neutral so have fun with colorful, clunky jewelry and open-toed booties—they're the hot thing to wear right now.

Dear Joan:
I was wondering how to wear prints right? Some get it, some don't.
—Manny.Brooke

Dear Trend Watcher:
Plaid is huge right now and all of Hollywood's hot young things are wearing it—either as a shirt, like lumberjacks in training Justin Timberlake and Justin Bieber, or as part of an evening look, which I love here on Gwen Stefani.

Dear Joan:
I am 34 and I have a body very similar to Christina Hendricks (very heavy on top). Breast reduction aside, what style could work for an evening gown for me?
—Rabago_Laura

Dear Stacked:
Lucky you! Play up your hourglass shape by choosing a dress with lots of structure that cinches at the waist and flares slightly at the hips to balance out that beautiful chest you've got on display.
