Christina Aguilera may have to wring out her pillow soon.

The Grammy winner says she's so torn up over the split from husband Jordan Bratman that she's "stuggling" to get out of bed these days, even calling it "impossible" at times.

See what other shockers Christina revealed during the interview with the December issue of Redbook.

With Bratman crashing at a friend's, Aguilera tells the magazine she has done a lot of crying since the split.

"It's not easy, and there have been a lot of tears and sadness," Aguilera said, adding, "it's impossible to redefine yourself and your life overnight."

The Dirrty singer says she's been leaning on her mother to get through the worst of it, and is also turning to some loyal pals.

"Thankfully, I have my mom and a small group of close friends who are there for me 24/7 and whom I can trust and depend on. On days when it feels impossible to even get out of bed, much less function as a mother, their support and encouragement have kept me moving forward."

Meanwhile, Aguilera is keeping mum on rumors of infidelity and last-ditch therapy sessions.

"Out of respect for my husband, I prefer to keep the specifics private," she said. "Right now, I'm just trying to figure out how to make it through each day."

She says her main focus remains the couple's son, Max, who turns 3 in January.

"Thankfully, I have Max to keep me on a sane path," she says. "His needs and happiness are my top priorities, and my biggest concern is to protect him and make him feel safe."

Aguilera filed for divorce from Bratman earlier this month in L.A. Superior Court. She is seeking joint physical and legal custody of Max. The legal date of separation is listed as Sept. 11.

And while she might be stuck in bed these days, Aguilera better set her alarm for Nov. 21. She's just been booked to sing at the American Music Awards that day—her first scheduled public performance since annoucing the split.
