Wyclef Wanted for Dodging Diamond Fees

Wyclef Jean is feeling the sting for some allegedly unpaid bling.

Jacob the Jeweler (the company, not its currently incarcerated namesake) has filed suit against the former Fugee, claiming he's failed to make good on a $319,680 tab from the music world's No. 1 bauble purveyor.

Jacob and Company Incorporated filed the lawsuit in Manhattan court Tuesday, alleging Jean purchased $765,100 worth of bejeweled accoutrements, including several watches, between March 2002 and January 2006, but has since, and despite "repeated demands for payment," only made good on about half of his debt.

Jean has yet to comment on the suit, as does company founder Jacob Arabov, albeit the latter for good reason.

Arabov was sentenced to 30 months in federal prison last month for lying to investigators about his business transactions with a Detroit crime ring.
