Winehouse OK; Leaves Sick Bay

The "Rehab" songbird is on the rebound.

Amy Winehouse was released from a London hospital early this morning, a day after being admitted for an adverse reaction to medication.

Her rep, Chris Goodman, said the Grammy winner was in good spirits after having what appeared to be a seizure yesterday at her north London residence.

The 24-year-old chanteuse was moved via wheelchair to a waiting ambulance for transport to the emergency room at University College Hospital. After being checked out and given the all-clear by doctors, she was discharged.

"She had a bit of a scare yesterday because of a reaction to treatment. She was kept in overnight purely for observation," her spokesman said in a statement. "Amy is at home now after leaving with her father and manager. She is having a rest."

Goodman said Winehouse's reaction was caused by medication prescribed to help her kick her drug habit.

This is the second time this summer Winehouse's health has made headlines. In June, her dad, Mitch Winehouse, told the press she had been diagnosed with emphysema in addition to an irregular heartbeat, largely the result of crack cocaine and chain-smoking cigarettes.

However, Winehouse's camp later clarified those comments, noting tests showed she had only early symptoms of the chronic respiratory disease.
