"Glee is a show about Sue Sylvester. Sue Sylvester is the star of Glee. Yes, there are a few other characters, but Sue is played by me!"

And that was just the beginning of Jane Lynch's show-stopping Saturday Night Live monologue! The Emmy-winning Glee star took the stage, noting that her series is lacking a theme song, so of course she graciously offered up her assistance. Sure, the musical number was just for laughs, but we couldn't help but notice two very important two details:

1) Jane (and those SNL writers) spoke the whole truth and nothing but—you know Sue is your gleeky fave! And 2) Um, hello mega-talented songstress?! Jane's vocals easily rival that of glee obsessee Rachel Berry (Lea Michele)—so now we're eagerly awaiting that storyline.

As for the rest of Jane's SNL ep, we'll say this...

She killed it!

In a time where even the funniest of funny folks aren't able to bring the laughs to their respective SNL episodes, Jane did not disappoint. Not even a little. In fact, her talent shined brighter than most of the seasoned sketch show vets.

But the guy that more than stood his own in the presence of the Great Lynch has to be Andy Samberg, who delivered two of the night's best moments alongside the standout host. See the first Facebook-related bit here, then brace yourselves for one of Samberg's Digital Shorts—with a buck nekkid Jane Lynch. True story!

So, cheers to the Glee star for delivering a fun-filled Saturday night. And on that note, we're hoping Easy A's Emma Stone does the same during her hosting duties next week. She's a cool chick, and we're pulling for her.
