Following last week's lawsuit against In Touch for what he claims is a false story about him hooking up with a prostitute, the soccer star today is denying allegations he messed around with a pal of Victoria Beckham's, helping break up the woman's marriage.
"As with another recent story, this is another tale full of fantasy," Beckham's rep exclusively tells E! News. "On a serious note, David is naturally focused on the important game against Chivas this Sunday."
Speculation that the L.A. Galaxy star had a fling surfaced in the divorce case between jewelry designer Shery Shabani and her husband, prominent Los Angeles lawyer Kambiz Joseph Shabani. In her court declaration, obtained by E! News, Shery Shabani claimed her husband had "threatened to kill" her and falsely told police officers that she 'f--ked' David Beckham.' "
However, with word leaking out that the sports icon had gotten caught up in the couple's messy divorce, Shery Shabani is now making it clear that no hanky-panky ever took place.
"There is absolutely no truth to the rumors regarding my relationship with David Beckham," she tells E! News. "I consider both David and Victoria friends and wish them all the best."
The nasty divorce has resulted in Shery taking out a restraining order against her estranged spouse.
As for the In Touch case, the mag says it's standing by its reporting. But the soccer star isn't buying it, suing for libel, slander and intentional infliction of emotional distress. In other words, don't mess with Becks.
