Katie Holmes is bringing the funny.

In what would be her first major studio outing since 2005's Batman Begins, Mrs. Tom Cruise is in talks to team up with Adam Sandler and Al Pacino for the Turkey Day comedy Jack and Jill, her rep confirms.

Per the Hollywood Reporter, the film follows Jack, a family man plagued by a Thanksgiving visit from his twin sister, Jill. Sandler will play both characters, with Holmes as Jack's wife. Pacino apparently plays himself.

The Dawson's Creek alum could use a hit, especially after taking  time off to start a family and raise Suri.

Holmes was last seen on the big screen in 2008's indie comedy-crime caper Mad Money with Diane Keaton and Queen Latifah. That same year she also made her Broadway debut in a revival of Arthur Miller's All My Sons.

Next up, the 31-year-old thesp is set to star in Guillermo del Toro's update of the 1970s horror flick Don't Be Afraid of the Dark. She's also starring as Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis in the History Channel's upcoming miniseries The Kennedys.
