D.A. Would Be Cool With Lindsay Lohan's Early Release

Prosecutor Dannette Meyers thinks it's too bad, though, that details about Lindsay's medical treatment have been leaked

Lindsay Lohan prosecutor Dannette Meyers admits that she's no expert.

Not when it comes to Lohan's medical treatment, that is.

"I am going to stick with whatever the medical professionals think for her, because they are the experts," Meyers told E! News Thursday in saying that she would not be opposed to the 23-year-old starlet getting out of rehab weeks before her sentence is supposed to end.

It will be up to L.A. Superior Court Judge Elden Fox, who inherited the case from Jude Marsha Revel after she recused herself two weeks ago, to make the decision at a hearing scheduled for Aug. 25 on whether to modify Lohan's probation.

Lohan's attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, and Meyers met in chambers yesterday, both ladies leaving with smiles on their faces and no new details for waiting reporters.

Meyers says that she trusts Fox—who is thoroughly up to date on the case, she says—to make the right choice.

What stinks, in her opinion, is that everyone is already so aware that Lohan may not medically require 90 days of rehab.

"Everyone has a right to privacy and I was disappointed that they put it out there," Meyers tells E! News. "Someone leaked her personal records and she is entitled to privacy."

Sure enough, TMZ reported today that Lohan has been weaned off of all of her prescription meds and that her doctors are thinking that any previous diagnosis calling her an "addict" may have been the wrong one.

Nor do the physicians at UCLA Medical Center's Neuropsychiatric Hospital think the troubled (you don't need a degree to see that) actress is bipolar or has Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, a source told the site.

Meanwhile, Meyers tells E! that, if asked, her office will investigate the leak of Lohan's medical records.
