He may have specialized in helping to make Hollywood dreams come true, but Dr. Frank Ryan's passing has been all too real for those who knew him.
A little more than 24 hours after his death, celebrities—many of them clients of the famed plastic surgeon—joined Ryan's friends, family and colleagues at a candlelight vigil in Malibu on Tuesday night to pay tribute to him...
Among those in attendance were Lisa Rinna, Harry Hamlin, Janice Dickinson, Melissa Rivers and Saved by the Bell's Dennis Haskins.
"I'm clearly not one of Frank's patients," Haskins gently joked. "I have a little work to go. But I can't think of a man that I am prouder to have called a friend."
Gary Busey was also on hand, and he too took a moment to speak fondly of Ryan.
"I was a patient of Frank's and a good friend," said the actor. "You know when you meet somebody and you feel like you've known 'em for a long time? That's how Frank was to me. He had a generous spirit and he reached out and gave no matter what he was doing."
The moving ceremony concluded with all those gathered raising their candles in loving memory of Ryan.
