Juvenile Cops to Pot Possession, Gets Big Easy Sentence

Rapper gets suspended jail time, 6 months' probation for having weed at his recording studio

Sometimes, when you admit to the crime, you don't have to do the time.

New Orleans rapper Juvenile was slapped with a suspended three-month jail sentence and six months' probation after pleading guilty Friday to misdemeanor marijuana possession.

Juvenile, whose real name is Terius Gray, was busted in February along with music producer Leroy Edwards when neighbors complained that they could smell weed coming from the suburban home where Juvenile and Edwards were recording.

St. Bernard Parish Sheriff's Office deputies showed up, and they didn't smell a rat.

Deputies found marijuana on Edwards and Juvenile, who was eating at the time (haha), admitted to authorities that there was also pot that belonged to him in the kitchen of the house, according to Sherrif's spokesman Steve Cannizaro.

The house, Juvenile told the deputies, belonged to an acquaintance who had allowed them to work on his new CD there.

Louisiana's WWLTV also reports that the "Slow Motion" rapper was fined $250, plus court costs.
