Looks like it's getting official-ish: Vinnie Chase (Adrian Grenier) and his crew are going to hug-it-out for an eighth and final season of Entourage, according The Hollywood Reporter. But those who are firm believers that size matters may be troubled to learn that the series' big-bang final season will be an all-too-short six episodes.

Still, there promises to be a very large payoff....

It looks like the show's Hollywood posse is finally going to make it big in the movie business, for real, with the long-rumored Entourage film spinning out of the series finale, according to HBO programming chief Michael Lombardo.

"The plan right now is we'll finish up this season, we'll do a shorter order for next season, we've talked about six," Lombardo tells THR. Series creator Doug Ellin reportedly wants to write the film, "but wants to do it when the story will make sense." In any case, Lombardo says next summers Entourage will definitely be the final season.

This is right in line with what series executive producer Mark Wahlberg told E! Online recently at Comic-Con.

"We're still figuring out a couple of storylines for next season," Wahlberg says "We have to figure out where a couple of them will leave off and where the movie will begin."

We've got our fingers crossed for the boys, so here's hoping they dodge Development Hell and make it to the big screen.
