Jeremy London isn't going to try and muzzle his family any longer.

The ex-7th Heaven star has abandoned efforts to obtain gag order against mother Deborah Nielsen, twin brother Jason and Jason's girlfriend, barring them from expressing skepticism about Jeremy's claims he was kidnapped at gunpoint and forced to take drugs in Palm Springs back in June.

Catherine Lombardo, a lawyer for the 37-year-old thesp, confirmed that the restraining order petition was withdrawn on Tuesday. The news comes a month after a judge refused to grant an emergency order to stifle London's family, saying it would infringe on their right to free speech.

So much for London vs. brother and monther. But what about London vs. his wife?

After initially backing his story, London's estranged missus, Melissa Cunningham, this week reversed herself and told RadarOnline today that she thought the incident was a "drug deal gone bad."

Her remarks prompted the Palm Springs PD to schedule a follow-up interview with Cunningham to look into the possibility that London made the whole story up.

Police arrested Brandon Adams, 26, for the June 10 incident. He has pleaded not guilty to charges of kidnapping, robbery and vehicle theft, insisting that there was never any abduction and that London had approached him about scoring some prescription drugs and the two went on a "mutual joyride" and "partied for hours."

But Team Jeremy is pooh-poohing Cunningham's 180.

"Jeremy is truly saddened by the false allegations made by Melissa regarding his kidnapping ordeal," publicist Dominic Friesen told E! News.

"The fabricated statements are nothing more than her vindictive reaction to a private disagreement she had with Jeremy about various issues over the weekend. Throughout their divorce proceedings, Melissa authored similar works of fiction for the tabloids and later acknowledged that the allegations were false."

London has admitted to E! News that he occasionally has struggled with his drug addiction, but he just completed  VH1's fourth season of Celebrity Rehab on Monday and is continuing to seek counseling.
