If garden-variety good help is hard to find, just imagine how difficult it is to locate a decent accountant.

Such is the latest predicament to befall E! reality queen Khloé Kardashian Odom, who was hit with a tax lien on Friday after the state of California determined that she owed  $18,490.74 in back taxes (well, $12,891 plus penalties and fees) dating from 2007.

On the bright side, this may be the one thing she can't peg on Scott Disick. On the not so bright side, Uncle Sam apparently has it all wrong.

Problem is, Odom says the late payment is the fault of her old (read: fired) accountant, who apparently failed to keep up with the tax man, albeit completely unbeknownst to Khloé.

The debt has since been paid off and the lien was reportedly only filed due to the excessive processing time on her hefty payment, which the tax board's system has yet to catch up to. Behold the quick-triggered actions of a heavily-indebted state.

So, sorry Wesley Snipes, Shannen Doherty, Nicolas Cage, Richard Hatch, Pamela Anderson and Chris Tucker. Your dubious club isn't getting any more members today.
