Leonardo DiCaprio would no doubt like to put this nightmare behind him.

The woman accused of slashing the Inception star's beatific face with a broken beer bottle at a Hollywood party five years ago has been extradited back to the United States to stand trial over the incident, E! News has learned.

After spending time in a Toronto jail for an unrelated assault, 40-year-old Aretha Wilson was flown to Los Angeles Thursday night where she's finally behind bars after going on the lam in 2005.

"She was brought back yesterday and booked on an assault charge with means likely to produce great bodily injury," Los Angeles County D.A. spokeswoman Jane Robison tells E! News.

The alleged slashing took place at a June 20, 2005, bash in the Hollywood Hills hosted by Paris Hilton sex-tape costar Rick Salomon. According to police, Wilson purportedly snuck onto the property and mistook DiCaprio for an ex-boyfriend, then lunged at him with a glass fragment from a broken beer bottle.

DiCaptrio was hospitalized with a gash near his ear that required more than a dozen stitches. He filed a formal criminal complaint a few days later, but by then Wilson had fled Los Angeles and managed to evade authorities until she was collared in Canada in January 2008 for a similar attack. That incident wound up with her sentenced to jail and Canadian authorities promised she'd be shipped back once she completed her term.

Wilson's arraignment is scheduled for later today.
